Changelog
Every Klear release, newest first — the same notes you see inside the app.
Quick actions from the dialpad
While dialing, tap a number to look it up or jump straight to its call statistics — no need to finish dialing first.
Per-number statistics, your way
See stats for any number by time range — all time, this month, most active month, or weekly — plus a new Insights tab: who calls who more, pickup rate, missed-call recovery, and more.
See what each plan unlocks
The Recharge screen now shows exactly what Plus and Pro include beyond tokens — Private Search, Blur caller ID, Who Viewed You.
Fixed a blur gap
A blurred caller's photo could still show unblurred on the active-call screen, the post-call screen, or the incoming-call banner. Fixed everywhere.
Recording no longer bleeds into a new call
Playing back a recording now stops automatically the moment a new call comes in, instead of continuing in the background.
Smarter dialpad search
Typed numbers now show properly formatted, known contacts match reliably, and a permission-related setup loop is fixed.
Improved stability
Fixed a crash that could happen tapping Add Contact, SMS, or Edit Contact on phones with no matching app installed.
Fixed a rare crash after a call ends
Fixed a crash some phones could hit right after a call finished, and cleaned up occasional duplicate entries in Recent calls and Suggestions.
Redesigned post-call screen
A completely reworked screen after every call — see the caller's photo, listen back to the recording with a built-in player, and call back, set a reminder, or report/block without leaving the screen.
Portal reveal animation
Revealing a blurred name or number now opens into a swirling portal animation instead of a flat loading state.
Choose how blurred callers unlock
Pick the protection level for revealing a blurred caller with biometrics in Privacy settings — Strict, Balanced, or Convenient.
Blurred callers stay hidden in notifications
When number blur is on, call notifications now hide the caller's name, number and photo too — including on the lock screen.
Revealed numbers stay revealed
Revealing a blurred caller's number while ringing now stays revealed after you answer — no second reveal needed.
One home for dialpad settings
Speed dial, custom letters, and clipboard auto-paste now live in one place. New: control the keypad tone volume with a slider.
Steadier recent-call actions
The action row under an expanded recent call now wraps cleanly instead of squeezing labels, and Block/Unblock shows progress and lets you know if something goes wrong.
Post-call recording playback fixed
Fixed the recording player getting stuck loading or showing the wrong call's recording after a quick redial; pausing now shows the correct paused position.
Faster phone lookup
Looking up a phone number now shows results noticeably faster.
In-app review & background updates
You may occasionally be invited to rate Klear right inside the app — only after real use and never during a call. Updates can now download in the background and apply with one tap.
Bigger SIM name on swipe-to-call
The SIM name shown while swiping to call is now large and bold, so it's easy to check which line you're calling from.
Improved stability and polish
Fixed several crash causes, properly formatted phone numbers on the Recordings screen, and straightened alignment on multi-number contacts.
Choose your incoming-call style
Pick how incoming calls appear when your phone is unlocked — Banner, Full screen, or Notification only. Locked-screen calls are always full screen.
Customize expanded row actions
Choose which action buttons appear when you expand a contact or call-log row, and reorder them. Contacts and Recent calls are configured separately.
Editable Quick Messages + call-back reminder
Add, edit, reorder your own decline-with-message replies (type {name} to insert the caller’s name), and optionally get reminded to call back after 15 / 30 / 60 minutes.
Call recording is off by default
Recording now starts only after you turn it on and accept a short consent notice. Recordings stay on your device.
Default SIM everywhere
Choose System / SIM 1 / SIM 2; the choice now applies on the dialpad, recent calls and swipe-to-call. Hidden on single-SIM phones.
More reliable call recording
Recordings are no longer lost when finishing is slow or the recorder restarts, reconnection is automatic after a helper update, and the status is accurate with an easy Reconnect.
Smoother, safer swipe-to-call
Swiping a call or contact now glides fully and needs a longer, more deliberate swipe, so accidental calls and messages are much less likely.
Clearer error handling
Lookups, sign-in and other actions now show a friendly message (with Try Again where relevant) when you’re offline or a request fails — no more stuck spinners or blank results.
Calling recovers when the Phone permission is off
If the Phone permission is turned off, tapping call now re-asks for it (or guides you to Settings) instead of silently doing nothing.
Call-end feedback & proximity fix
A short haptic pulse and tone when a call ends (muted at the ear), and the screen now stays on while ringing.
Hand gestures to answer or reject
Opt-in: answer with a ✌️ and reject with an open palm 🖐️ using the front camera. Enable in Gesture controls.
Contact quick actions
Long-press a contact for quick actions — call, SMS, copy, share, edit.
Call recording on by default
Calls were recorded automatically. (Changed to off-by-default with a consent step in 1.2.0.)
Dual-SIM & rotation fixes
Swipe-to-call now dials the correct SIM on dual-SIM phones, and the UI stays in portrait (no accidental rotation).
