Efectivo 2026-10-26Klear Phone para Android

Effective date: 2026-10-26

This Privacy Policy applies to the Klear Phone app (the "Application") for mobile devices. Klear Phone is offered as a Freemium service.

Who we are — Klear Phone is developed and operated by Aram Verdoyan, an individual developer based in Yerevan, Armenia (the "Service Provider"), who is responsible (the controller) for your personal data under this Policy. Contact: dabalavay@gmail.com.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Google account data — When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, given name, family name and profile picture URL, and — only if your Google account shares it — the phone number linked to your Google account.
  • Contact data — If you choose to share your contacts to contribute to Global Caller ID, we collect the display name and phone number of each contact. This is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit consent. We do not collect contact photos, email addresses, or any other contact fields.
  • Invite code — If you use or share a referral invite link, we store the associated referral relationship.
  • Support messages — Messages you send to the Klear team through the in-app support chat (see section 15) or the Contact Support form (form messages are delivered straight to the Klear team's private Telegram chat and are not stored on our servers). When reporting a bug through the form, you may optionally allow us to include your device model, Android version, and app version to help diagnose the issue.
  • Supporter name — If you choose to support the app via an in-app purchase and opt into public display, we store the name you provide (or your Google display name if you leave it empty) to show it alongside your supporter badge.
  • Purchase records — When you buy a subscription or make a supporter purchase, Google Play handles the payment; we never receive your card or other payment details. To verify the purchase and give you what you bought, we store on our servers the Google Play purchase token, the product you bought, your plan, its token allowance and when it last changed, and for supporter purchases the badges it unlocked, when they expire and whether you chose to stay anonymous. These records are kept with your account data (see Data Retention). Purchase tokens can also appear in our server logs, which are deleted after 30 days.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Device operating system and version
  • SIM country and device language — when you sign in, we store the two-letter country code of your SIM card (for example "AM") and your device language in your account profile. We use them to send Telegram announcements in the right country and language, and to count new sign-ups per country in our internal statistics, which show counts only, never individual accounts. This is not your location: we do not use GPS or your IP address for it.
  • Pages and features of the Application you visit, and the time and date of your visits
  • Time spent within the Application
  • FCM token — A Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored in your Firestore profile to deliver push notifications to your device.
  • Phone number search history — Numbers you look up using the Phone Lookup feature are recorded server-side to power your monthly search report and to improve spam detection.
  • Outcome metrics for on-device call transcription — success or failure, a coarse recording-length band, a coarse processing-speed band, the model and engine used, and a general failure category. This never includes transcript text, phone numbers, contact names, the spoken language, or the recording itself. See section 14.
  • App integrity checks — Firebase App Check verifies that requests to our services come from the genuine Klear app; Firebase processes device-integrity tokens for this.
  • Crash reports — if the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics receives a crash report with the device model, Android and app version, and technical details of the error (for transcription: the model and engine in use). Crash reports do not include your recordings, transcripts, contacts or call history.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Integrations

  • Telegram — If you connect the Klear Telegram bot, we receive and store your Telegram first name, last name, username, and language code, and the link between your Telegram account and your Klear account.
  • Call logs — The Application reads your device's call history to display recent calls, enable caller identification, and power Smart Call Suggestions (analyzing call frequency and recency to surface contacts you may want to reach). This data is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
  • Smart Call Suggestion feedback — When you interact with a suggested contact (call, send an SMS, dismiss the suggestion, or rate its helpfulness), that signal is stored locally on your device to improve future suggestions. This feedback data is never uploaded to our servers.
  • Phone lookup queries — When you look up a phone number, that number is sent to Telegram's infrastructure, and to the Google Places API when it is not already in our business caller ID sources (see section 3.1). These lookups are subject to the privacy policies of Google and Telegram respectively.
  • Caller checks during calls — When a number that is not in your contacts calls you, or when you call such a number, that number is sent to our servers to check it against spam reports and business caller ID sources, so the call screen can warn you or show a business name. The result may be cached on our servers and on your phone. Numbers saved in your contacts are not sent for these checks, and official bank numbers known to the app are matched on your device.
  • Wrong-name reports — If you report that a business name shown for a number is wrong, we store your account, an app-installation identifier used against abuse, the number and the reason you chose for up to 180 days (removed earlier if you delete your account). The name is hidden for you right away.
  • Spam reports & reactions — If you submit a spam or abuse report about a phone number, we store the phone number, the selected reason, your optional comment, and an optional emoji. We also store like/dislike reactions you submit on other users' reports. This data may be displayed to other users.
  • Block activity — When you block a phone number, we record an anonymous block count for that number on our servers. Your identity is not associated with the block action visible to other users.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Application and its features
  • Power the Global Caller ID feature — matching phone numbers against a community-contributed database of names
  • Manage your token balance and reward activity (ad views, referrals, Telegram bot connection, contact contributions)
  • Power the Phone Lookup feature — querying Google Places and Telegram to identify businesses and accounts associated with a phone number
  • Generate your monthly search report — a count of unique phone numbers you searched during the month
  • Power Smart Call Suggestions — analyzing call patterns entirely on-device to surface contacts you may want to reach
  • Display community spam reports and reactions associated with phone numbers
  • Track anonymous block counts per phone number to surface safety signals to other users
  • Process in-app subscription and one-time purchases via Google Play Billing
  • Send push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), if enabled in your settings
  • Display your supporter name and badge publicly in the app's Support Me section, if you opted in
  • Communicate important updates, notices, and relevant information
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse

3. Global Caller ID & Contact Data

When you voluntarily share your contacts:

  • We store the display name and phone number of each contact in our secure database (Firebase Data Connect, hosted on Google Cloud).
  • This data is used to power the Global Caller ID feature within Klear Phone. We also count contributions in aggregate (for example, how many numbers were added on a day and from which country calling codes) to operate and improve the service. These statistics contain no names, phone numbers or account identifiers and are visible only to the Klear team.
  • Contact data is attributed to your user account internally to prevent duplicate entries, but your identity is never revealed to other users.
  • Contact data is never sold or shared with external third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
  • You may request deletion of your contributed contact data at any time by contacting us at dabalavay@gmail.com.

3.1 Business Caller ID

To show the name of a business that calls you, Klear uses public business listings from Overture Maps Foundation (Places dataset, licensed under CDLA-Permissive-2.0) and, for Armenian banks, the official list published by the Central Bank of Armenia. These sources contain business names, brands, categories, public contact numbers, websites and social-media links, addresses, city and map coordinates, and a confidence score. They are published business listings, not profiles of Klear users; if you run a business yourself, its public listing (business name, number, website) may of course relate to you.

When you look up a number that is not in these sources, Klear may query Google Places; the result is cached for up to 30 days. Names from every source are checked before they are shown (for example, links, phone numbers or impersonation of banks and public authorities are not displayed).

If you own a number and want its business listing removed, use the opt-out page at klearphone.com/opt-out — ownership is confirmed through the Klear Telegram bot by sharing your phone number. Once confirmed, the number is suppressed in Klear and any cached business name for it is deleted. You can also email us (Section 17).

To show business names quickly and even offline, the app keeps the business names of numbers that called you or that you called in a table on your device. A name that our server has not re-confirmed within 7 days is hidden, and the names are re-checked daily so that opt-outs take effect. Opening a business page sends that number to our server; if we have no cached listing for it, our server may look it up in Google Places.

Attribution: business data © Overture Maps Foundation contributors, CDLA-Permissive-2.0.

3.2 Spam Protection Data

To warn you about likely spam calls, Klear combines reports from its community with public complaint data published by US regulators (FCC consumer complaints and the FTC's Do Not Call reported-calls data) and a public community robocall blocklist. These datasets list phone numbers reported as unwanted callers; they are not data about Klear users. Daily snapshots are kept on our servers for up to 180 days.

3.3 Number Opt-Out

If you opt your number out at klearphone.com/opt-out, Klear stops showing names for it in the app (names from shared contacts in Phone Lookup and as a business name), stops collecting names for it from contacts shared by other users, and deletes any cached business name for it.

4. Who Viewed You — Phone Search Visibility

When a Klear user searches your phone number, that search is recorded to power the "Who Viewed You" monthly report.

4.1 What Is Recorded

  • The searcher's Google display name and profile photo URL.
  • The searched phone number and the month of the search.
  • The date and time of the search.
  • Whether the search was performed in Private mode.

4.2 What You See

  • Plus/Pro subscribers: names, profile photos, and search times of non-private searchers.
  • Free and Basic users: the count only — names and photos are blurred.

4.3 Private Search (Plus/Pro Feature)

When Private Search is enabled, the searcher's name and photo are not stored. They appear to you as "Anonymous User". Private searches still count toward your monthly viewer total. You can toggle Private Search directly on the Phone Lookup screen or in Settings → Privacy.

4.4 Data Retention

Monthly search records are retained for up to 12 months and then permanently deleted. The aggregated snapshot saved to your profile is overwritten each month.

5. Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Google Play Services
  • Google Sign-In
  • Google Play Billing
  • AdMob
  • Google Analytics for Firebase — usage analytics on which in-app screens and features are visited, and outcome metrics for on-device call transcription (see sections 1.2 and 14), tied to a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, never to your phone number or contacts
  • Firebase Crashlytics
  • Firebase Cloud Firestore, Data Connect & Cloud Messaging
  • Telegram — the Klear Telegram bot, Phone Lookup, and delivering support-chat messages to the Klear team's private group (see section 15)
  • Google Places API
  • Public data sources (no user data is sent to them): Overture Maps Places, the Central Bank of Armenia's list of banks, and US FCC and FTC complaint data
  • Google (MediaPipe) — download of the hand gesture model, only if you turn on hand gesture call control (see Hand Gesture Call Control)

The Service Provider may share your information with third parties only:

  • As required by law (e.g., to comply with a subpoena or government request)
  • When necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Service Provider or users
  • With trusted service providers operating on our behalf, bound by confidentiality obligations

6. Push Notifications

If push notifications are enabled, we store your FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token in your Firestore profile to deliver notifications to your device. This token is device-specific and is automatically rotated by Firebase.

You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings or in the app's Notifications screen. Disabling notifications stops future deliveries but does not automatically remove your FCM token from our servers. To request token deletion, contact dabalavay@gmail.com.

7. Data Storage & Security

Our main database (Firebase Data Connect) is hosted on Google Cloud in the European Union (europe-central2 region). Other Firebase services and the third-party providers listed in section 5 (for example Telegram and Google Places) may process data in other countries under their own terms. The Service Provider implements physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

  • Account and user data — retained for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter.
  • Contact contributions — retained indefinitely to maintain Global Caller ID quality, unless you request deletion.
  • Phone number search history — retained for up to 12 months to power monthly reports and spam detection, then automatically purged.
  • FCM tokens — retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Support form messages — not stored on our servers; delivered to the Klear team's private Telegram chat and deleted there within 12 months.
  • Support chat — a conversation with no activity for 90 days is closed, and closed conversations are deleted 12 months later — or immediately when you delete the conversation or your account (see section 15).
  • Wrong-name reports — retained for up to 180 days.
  • Spam protection data — daily snapshots of public complaint data are kept for up to 180 days.

To request deletion of your data, contact us at dabalavay@gmail.com.

9. Opt-Out & Data Deletion

Uninstalling the Application stops it from collecting new information from your device; it does not delete information already sent to us or to third parties. To delete that, use the options below:

  • Revoke Telegram integration at any time by disconnecting the bot
  • Disable push notifications in your device or app settings
  • Request deletion of your contact contributions by contacting dabalavay@gmail.com
  • Request full account deletion by contacting dabalavay@gmail.com

10. Children

The Application is intended for people aged 16 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at dabalavay@gmail.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Your Consent

This Privacy Policy explains how we process your information when you use the Application. Where we rely on your consent — for example when you choose to share your contacts — you give it through that specific choice in the app and can withdraw it at any time; withdrawing does not affect processing that already took place.

13. Call Recording

Klear Phone includes an optional call recording feature powered by the Hust companion app.

  • Local storage only — Call recordings are stored exclusively on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or shared with us.
  • Legal responsibility — Recording telephone calls may be subject to legal restrictions in your country or region, including requirements to obtain the prior consent of all parties before recording. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether call recording is lawful in your jurisdiction and to comply with all applicable laws.
  • Consent obligation — By enabling call recording, you agree to inform all parties to a call that the conversation is being recorded, where required by law.
  • Liability disclaimer — The Service Provider accepts no responsibility or liability for any unlawful use of the call recording feature, or for any consequences arising from your failure to obtain necessary consents.

14. On-Device Transcription

Klear Phone can transcribe your call recordings into text entirely on your device.

  • Transcript text stays on your device — the transcription runs locally. The words spoken on your calls are never uploaded to our servers or shared with us.
  • Quality metrics — so we can tell whether transcription is working well across the range of devices our users have, the app sends Google Analytics for Firebase a small event when a transcription finishes or fails. It contains only: whether it succeeded or failed, a rough recording-length band (for example "1–5 min"), a coarse processing-speed band, the model and engine used, and — on failure — a general failure category. It never includes transcript text, phone numbers, contact names, the spoken language, or the recording itself, and is tied only to a pseudonymous app-instance identifier.
  • Model downloads — downloading a transcription model likewise reports only success or failure and the download size, never any personal data.

15. Support Chat

You can write to the Klear team from the app, whether or not you are signed in.

  • What we store — the text of your messages and our replies, when they were sent, and who the conversation belongs to — your account if you are signed in, or a random guest key if you are not. The guest key is created by the app, stored encrypted on your phone and excluded from device backups. The app also remembers on your phone that you have had a conversation (no message text), also excluded from backups.
  • How we reply — each conversation is copied, as plain text, to a private Telegram group that only the Klear team uses, so we can answer from our phones. Telegram therefore processes these messages, under its own privacy policy and on servers that may be outside the European Union. Please do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in the chat.
  • Abuse protection — to stop spam, the support chat keeps short-lived counters keyed by your account, an app-installation identifier (Firebase Installation ID) or a one-way hash of your IP address; the chat does not store your raw IP address. Like any online service, our cloud providers (Google Cloud/Firebase) process IP addresses to deliver and secure the service.
  • Retention and deletion — a conversation with no activity for 90 days is closed, and closed conversations are deleted 12 months later. You can delete a conversation in the app at any time, and deleting your account deletes your conversations. In both cases we also delete the conversation's copy in our Telegram group through Telegram's API. We keep the operational records needed to run the chat safely (a hash of a guest key, delivery and deletion records, and a log of actions taken by the Klear team) only as long as needed for security and operations.

16. Hand Gesture Call Control

Klear can let you answer or reject an incoming call with a hand gesture (✌️ to answer, 🖐️ to reject). This feature is off by default. It works only if you turn it on in Settings and allow camera access.

  • When the camera is used — only while the incoming-call screen is showing, and only when the feature is on. The camera stops when the call is answered, rejected or ends.
  • On your device only — camera images are analysed in your phone's memory to detect the hand shape, then thrown away. Klear does not save, record or upload camera images, and does not send them to us or to anyone else. If gesture detection fails, an error report without any image is sent to Firebase Crashlytics.
  • No biometric data — Klear does not recognise faces or identify people. It only checks the shape of a hand and does not create or keep any biometric template.
  • Gesture model — when the feature is on and the model is not on your phone yet, Klear downloads Google's MediaPipe gesture model (about 8 MB) from Google's servers and keeps it on your phone. Like any download, this request reaches Google; no camera data is sent.
  • Speakerphone — if "Speaker on gesture answer" is on (it is on by default), a call you answer with a gesture starts on speakerphone when no headset is connected, so people near you can hear it. You can turn this off in Settings.
  • Turn it off — at any time in Settings, or remove the camera permission in Android settings.
